Hey parents! Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s Bible story called The Parable of the Famer and the Seeds with your child after they’ve watched this week’s Church at Home elementary video. And remember the Big Idea:I can share about Jesus.

What was your favorite part of the video we just watched?

What other Bible stories do you remember David from?
Did you remember King David is the same David from David and Goliath? That same boy grew up to be a king.

Why was David a good king?
He loved God with his whole heart and prayed to God always. He did what God wanted him to do and shared about his love for God.

What did David do when he sinned and did something wrong?
We all make mistakes, but David’s mistakes did not take away from the love he had for God or the love he knew God had for him. He would say sorry for his sin, seek forgiveness, and continue loving God the best he could!

What are some ways you can love God with your whole heart?
You can pray and talk to God every day. You can tell him how you feel and ask him for help when you need it. You can listen to God and do what he says. You can talk to people about God. You can spend time with him every day!

Who is the one, true king?
Jesus! Jesus never made any mistakes because he never sinned. He is God’s Son who came to earth as a baby and grew up to die on a cross and come back to life. He did all that because God loves you. You can be a part of his kingdom when you choose to love and follow Jesus. God wants everyone to be in his family because he loves everyone so much and wants the best for his family.
